Celebrate light by shedding the armor of who you think you need to be, and letting the real, already-whole you shine through. Explore every lovable layer of your being, from the palpable (your physical body) to the subtle (your spirit) through a three-part practice. Gentle asana invites space into the breath and body. A restorative sound bath uses supported postures and sound vibration to calm the nervous system and clear the mind. Finally, a guided yoga nidra meditation encourages release in the unconscious, clearing the way for loads of love and light. Open to everyone who could use a mini-vacation.

Megan Young offers a safe space for yogis of all backgrounds to discover their own completeness. Her classes are buoyant explorations of sthira (fierce steadiness) andsukha (gentle ease). She is particularly fascinated by breath and sound, and often incorporates sound bath, yoga nidra guided meditation, and marma (yogic acupressure) into her teaching. Megan is grateful to share the wisdom of ISHTA Yoga, and is a sadhaka teacher (yoga master-in-training) in the lineage. meganyoungyoga.com

Yes yoga on a paddle board on water!

It's much easier than you think, a great workout, and surreal!  Our fleet boards are ideally suited to yoga.  Much larger than a yoga mat!  Poses are geared to ensure you stay on the board - with as much or little challenge as you want. 

Yoga is all about balance - as is paddle boarding:  In this class, our instructor takes you slowly through a variety of yoga moves chosen carefully to help you be successful – no-one likes a wet down-dog!  What’s really cool is that it encourages you to slow down and really focus on your form, as well as settle into that yogi frame of mind, being in the elements, breathing the fresh air.

Intro to Stand Up Paddle Boarding including the Fundamentals of Balance, Basics of Paddle and Turn Technique plus a Floating Yoga Experience.

All equipment provided by Downunder in Rowayton.

Danielle Brown is Academy of Surfing Instructors SUP certified and RYT 200 hour Yoga Teacher. She has been teaching SUP Yoga since 2012 and loves the way it guides her to go with the flow. Danielle taught with Boga Yoga at the Wanderlust festival in Snowshoe, WV and will lead her fourth SUP & Yoga retreat to the Bitter End Yacht Club in Virgin Gorda, BVI in February 2018. www.thumbsupyoga.com
